" Low Tech "

Sometimes " Low Tech " isn't such a bad thing after all.
I have a " pet load " for my 8X57 mm Scout Rifle .
I made a OAL Load cartridge gauge for this particular load out of a piece of scrap walnut.

I drilled a hole through it and it sits on a nail on my loading bench waiting for the next time I load this favorite load of mine again.

Yes, sometimes " Low Tech " isn't such a bad thing.
The real question is ......" Does it Work ? "

Yes, these 8X57 mm cases were made from reformed 06' cases.
Necks are annealed and necks turned to .012 "

Today, I took a bit of a break from reloading and I made something that I should have made years ago.

Sometimes you just don't have enough hands to hold everything at one time.

This little holder for my neck wall thickness micrometer ( tubing micrometer ) is handy as pockets on a shirt.

Ben,
I swear, you could re-invent the wheel and make it more simple and economical!
Great idea!

Dan,

You never heard of an electric micrometer ?
You're probably still using the " Non Electric Model ", right ? ? :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
You need to move to Alabama.
We're high tech down here.

:confused::confused::confused:...Look at the lower photo...I was going to ask why the @*^&% is that plugged in...?

That's not part of Ben's "low tech" setup. He's got wired to his computer and hooked up to a NASA mainframe via an internet app so he can get his neck thickness in spreadsheet format to fifty millionths of an inch.

Leave it to Shars to make an electric mic that requires a plug instead of a battery.
