a little off topic, I suppose, but enquiring minds want to know.... do they mill the vent grooves in before they cut the cavities? It seems like if they did it after cutting the cavities, there would be issues with burs from the cutter encroaching into the cavity that would be difficult to remove...

just wondering....

edit:... .and that is a great looking bullet.... I might have to try to get one in a two cavity....

yep, fly cut after they square the faces of the mold block.
they'll do the top and mold face, drill the alignment pin holes, tap the screw holes, then oscillate cut the mold design into place.

on a CNC machine you can set a hundred blocks in place one after the other and only change out the cherry and the cutting program.
the halves, mounting screws, vent lines, and sprue cutter will line up on all of them.
