Snake, nope cast 168gr @ 2450 fps. There is one 7mm mag he'd shot some other time. Lower shots was his trying to get used to an AR and ranging. Shot sitting in a sunflower field shooting from a table. Cold barrel as we had to take the gater down to reset the target, I hit high enough to knock it over.

Look in the HP hole with a flashlight and cull any that have a void bubble in the bottom. #2, 5, and 8 have voids in the lube groove, poke at the little dimple with a dental pick and see if they open up. Powder coating will usually show the lube groove voids clearly. You did pretty good there but that mould has some bad habits you have to watch for. My #1 cull is rounded driving bands on either edge of the lube groove, just on one side, #2 is the aforementioned void, and lastly a big void at the HP base due to the pins getting just the slightest bit cool....usually while trying to shuck a stuck bullet.
I'll look before I PC them, I've placed them in my toaster oven on 175° to dry them off, I'll sort them once dry and then PC a batch. Probably in the morning before work. Thanks for the HP heads up, I make sure to check for voids

It only means the mould itself is on the hot side and that there is some antimony present in the alloy. Bullets might be a little smaller but as long as they're all the same, "frost" doesn't really hurt anything.

Is this powder reaĺly like SR4759? Is it still available?
Yes.
No.

Back in 2015, there were whispers at the other forum about Jeff having a surplus powder that was a 2400 equivalent. Myself and many others quickly ordered some. It was sold out before Jeff even got it in, IIRC? I recall Jeff contacting me, saying the powder that came in was more like 4759, than 2400... and he'd ship it out at same price if I was OK with that.
The jugs I got were labeled with this info:
Alcan 9400
(SR4759)
and that was all the info that was provided.

My powder is an AA-5744 equivalent, I believe Alcan 9456, I've only got 28 lb of it. Time to do some development I'd say
