My bullets have flashing....

I've been wanting that design in a .314" band size and .301" nose for awhile now. Keep playing with the buttons over at Accurate...then emptying my cart.

It is an NOE shelf design . I don't know who the draftsman is but I'm sold on the design . It matches everything I can get out of a jacketed 130 gr bullet except the last 150 fps in my alloy which does all of the improbable cast bullet stuff with minimal trade offs . It should be a fine meat maker .
Back to the thread at hand .

Was looking for more weight. The NOE 311-188, 30 Hunter is too small, this is the Accurate mold I've been looking at...

Hmm, that one sure looks familiar!

Yodog, if you want some samples I can make some for you. I got excited and shot most of the ones I had cast up and aged, it works really well in my .308s. Only condition on my sending you some is you can't enter my HV challenge and shoot against me with my own bullets....:p

Thanks for the offer Ian but, I'll probably hit that button before you could get them cast up. My only hang up is aluminum or steel?

This barrel is too short for any HV challenge at only 16 1/2". Going to have to build a new rifle for that. Think I have a 30", 220 Swift barrel over there in the corner...

GO IRON!

Tom sent me one of his iron moulds to try out for something and it is second to none.

Yep. Same as your most favorite old Ideal or Lyman mould, except much higher level of manufacturing precision and overall quality.

Ian,
If the hole in the bullet is causing the excess slump, why not fill it with a similar sized dowel in a high tech plastic? It would probably be a pain to put them in in any quantity, but give you an idea if it could help with the baffle strikes.

I thought about just filling it brass rod, but even before this the production was getting to be impractical.
