I modified this dirt simple 9mm so that my wife could yank the slide back when needed. She has rheumatoid arthritis. It’s one of the house guns and hasn’t jammed yet with hp or fmj.
She can still shoot her m67 S&W and her thumb safety Shield 9 very well, but working the slide on the Shield is tough for her.
I know that Beretta had a tilt barrel 9mm for a short while, but I think that it’s no longer made.
So the Girsan .380 and the Tisas Fatih .380 are it, except for the .32 Beretta Tomcat and the Beretta 21 .22LR.
I like tilt barrel autos. The only one that I have now is a Taurus PT22. Other than needing to double strike a round occasionally it’s a neat little gun. It doesn’t jam, and you can shoot ANY .22 shell in it as a break open single shot. .22 Short CB on up to rat shot.
A Ruger 22/45 has an easily slid slide, and would work just fine for a house gun but harder to CC.
