Why is that mold identified as (AR1) in the descriptions? When I first saw that I wondered it if was for Ardito or for AR-15 (as in 300 blackout).

I have absolutely no idea what AR1 means or even if it has a meaning ?

Ben,
if possible could I get a dozen or so of them. Too try in my new 300blk AR, yes I drank the Kool-Aid. I have a 16" with a carbine length gas tube. I just built it this week and have not even fired factory rounds through it. However I want to shoot only cast in it. I have the Lee mold and a Lyman for the 7.62x39 for supersonic. I have been looking for an NOE heavy weight, but have been undecided. The 240gn has been out of stock for awhile, I hope AL does a rerun. Hint, Hint.
Thanks Kev

If things work out, please post up how it goes.

I ended up not getting any bullets from Ben to try, maybe in the future? If Ben cast some more and is generous enough to make another offer.

KHornet ,

The daytime high temps here bump 100 degrees each day.
Shooting in that kind of heat with the humidity numbers as high as they are is brutal right now.

As soon as it cools off some, you'll see some range photos.

Thanks,
Ben

I agree, we have many days pushed close to 100. I try to get to the range by 7:30-8:00, and shoot for two hours and go home. Just to hot after that. I sweat at about 70 degrees, and I am on hormone shots which causes hot flashes on top of it. This getting old just ain't for sissies.

I've always believed that shooting should be FUN ! !

This kind of heat takes all the fun out of it.

I would be very curious to see how this bullet performs in a 300 blackout. My particulate gun has a very short throat and a little bit of taper would really help with being able to seat them out far enough they aren't intruding too far into the powder space.

Both the Saeco #301 and 311299 will work in the 300 without intruding into the powder space. Are you planning on subs, or supers?
