Absolutely, that's why I didn't hesitate posting the commentYou have me figured out.
Is that a bit of kindred spirit I am picking up on from your comment?
One of my all time favorite deals was swapping 7 cords of split/aged hardwood firewood for a S&W Model 657 3" Lew Horton.
another recent deal, was swapping 2 large galvanized wash tubs and 3 barn rope pulleys for a mint condition 50+ yr old pressure canner with all the accessories and paper manual (Presto Mod. 7-B), which is exactly like the old krusty-pitted Mod 7-B that I was currently using...Bonus, the lids are interchangeable. The new-to-me canner is almost too pretty to use.
Back to 1911:
I was at the range yesterday, shooting the poly-framed Ruger American in 45acp, and also the RIA 1911 38super. I forgot how heavy the 1911 is...or maybe I forgot how lightweight the Ruger American is? The Ruger's recoil was making the gun jump all over the place. The 1911 was rock solid, almost like shooting the 22LR Ruger MkII.
