Well the RCBS 35 cal. 200 gr. bullet did its job AGAIN with 5ers load in my GS's 35 Rem. 100 yards bang flop. On Sunday he passed on a second deer but passed because it wasn't a good clear shot. He apologized for not harvesting the second one also. I told him that it means more to me that he didn't take the shot even though he could.
My daughter an I sat all Saturday seeing nothing but tree rats. Sunday was the same nothing but tree rats till about an hour till dark, She was looking out her north facing window. All of a sudden she grabbed her rifle and got ready to shoot. As soon as she say the deer in the scope she breathed OH MY GOD. And never said another word. I could see she was following the deer in the scope. I whispered to her just to follow the deer until there was an opening.
I could finally see the deer, and she was rite. It was a very large buck. It never did stop to give her a good clean shot. It eventually just walked out of sight.
After she calmed down. She turned to me and said that she was really sorry that she had not taken the shot. I reassured her that i would rather not take a shot than cripple one.
