I decided to make a few " test cast " with my new mould today.
I used the deep hp pins, so I lost some weight in the finished product.
All in all, I'm happy with the mould.
Bullets fall from the mould with zero problems.
Nice and round.

Very nice!

I am envious of that mould. The general RDO design is the one I chose to be my main 30/30 mould and having the versatility to do FN, HP or cup-point would be a big plus.

Those RD molds are nice, unfortunately neither my 06 or 30-30 will chamber the version of that bullet's nose profile I have but my Sav. 99 in 300 Sav. will and the rifle loves it. Arsenal makes several versions of that mold in 2 to 5 cavities and offer a 50/50 version with both PB or GC bullets in the same mold block if you want to split the base styles which is the one I have, but they don't offer a HP version, but the bullet does have a very nice meplat.

CW- looks like you pins are a bit long? That nose looks off.
No, that's my big complaint with NOE hp bullet molds.
Too stinking fragile you look at the damn pins wrong and they get pushed up in and then you've gotta pull them back out and then you got a finagle with them to make them right sized.

I won't buy any NOE hollow point molds anymore. Thankfully they seem to work just fine a little bit long or a little bit short, they just look Fugly

Are you setting your mould down on something while filling, which then pushes the pins all the way in?

I have 1 noe hollowpoint,,a 200gr 10mm,,,that 1 is enough for me!them pin holders are hard to adjust,,and never seem to stay put.

Yes, and during casting as generally I run a few molds. When it "rests" its on a bench with four think towels across the bench top. When filling cav, its touching a lead block I use as a guide.

Im very conscious of the/this problem.

Its a non existent problem with MP HP design.
