I'm sensing you need ideas on star die projects....

I seem to be missing several...

I've got top punches that would work for all but, the 22.

Well, there's a whole mess of practice...or a nice payday for lathesmith from us poor latheless chumps.;)

.226 is way smaller than I think I can do. Nowhere near a small enough boring bar for that one. .279 would be a challenge too but is possible. The 310,311,312 are all things I have made for myself as is 452.
Let me see what I can do.

I was teasing of course. I don't expect anything for free.

But, I will eventually buy those sizes.

How much is a proper boring bar for the Itty bitties? Just curious.

I can make them but it might cost you some O1 steel.....

i'll chip in for the stuff to make a 22 sumthin boring bar, or a whatever size you wanna do next 25-27?

How much is a proper boring bar for the Itty bitties? Just curious.
A solid carbide bar is about 55 bucks. Cheaper to go with a couple of reamers, say .225 and .226. Drill small then ream to size. A final polish to get final diameter. Use a taper pin reamer to set the feed angle.
