My Humminbird, Minnkota dealer, repairman called and said my new top of the line bow mount trolling motor was in and scheduled me to bring in the boat today. It's probably 50-55 miles over there because of having to get a bridge over the Mississippi. When we got there it looked like a used boat dealership. Man is he busy!
So my current trolling motor is going to be installed on my buddy Jimmy's boat on the 10th. He's headed to the Tulsa gun show soon. The one going on my boat is one of the new brushless versions. I am pretty excited about it. 72" shaft, 90 # of thrust, extremely accurate Spot Lock, oh boy!
Got home from that and pulled the head of my Porter Cable 60 gallon air compressor, blown head gasket. Trying to get a new set of gaskets was one of the most frustrating endeavors I have attempted lately. How in the bloody hell can a perfectly good piece of equipment be declared obsolete and parts discontinued. The Porter Cable, a good Tennessee company has out sourced its customer service to India. Completely useless. I think I have the correct parts ordered from ePlacement parts.com, I think.
After I glued the top of my head back on, I swept part of the shed floor, the found a new Bluebird house and a decent treated 4x4 post. I think I'll have to pull the existing Bluebird house in the big prairie and move it 100 yards west and install the new house a couple hundred yards East. I think that'll give them enough separation.
