I heard that a while ago, I'm glad you posted it for others. Unfortunately, I spent the long dollar and bought .308 Lapua brass to neck up. Would be nice to have correctly headstamped brass, though. Starline seems to be a great company, I have bought a lot of their brass and it lasts.

They are starting to make a fair bit of rifle brass. If it is as good as the handgun and 45-70 brass I would buy it in an instant.

It's interesting that they are now competing directly with the large manufacturers by making .308, .243, .223 brass among many others.

They aren't just doing the unusual and in less demand brass, rather going full bore into the mainstream new brass market. Should give Rem-Win-Hornady pause for thought. I like to see competition.

well IMO rem, win, Fed need to pause and think.
they have been heading down the road to junk for some time now and if someone doesn't hold the price down and the quality up they will raise prices and lower quality until it ain't worth buying then back off about 2%.

I made a prediction a little while back that we would start seeing the big guy's start making steel cased rifle ammo in the not too distant future and i'll stick by that.

I think Hornady has a "steel" line already?

As to the starline rifle brass. I picked up 100 in 223 for a project. I did a bit of measuring, no weighing. Necks looked pretty good. I still decided to just "shave" enough neck turning to clean them up. After the first dozen and some more measuring I just did 25. I figured that was enough to put some kind of base line down.
Tinkering with loads and bullets. Once a load is decided on I will check the turned and unturned cases agains one another.

If they can keep as consistent as I have seen thus far, they will have a lot of business I am sure. Have some 308 I need to work up as well.

I think the Hornady steel cased ammo says it uses cases made elsewhere, which would almost guaranteed
be one of the former soviet states where they have the Rooskie technology to make cheap steel "brass".

No fan of steel cases, although I have reloaded a few in .45 ACP, originally by error.

Starline is good stuff, I have a good assortment of boxes of new Starline in many different calibers. Always
good quality.

I'll be a player on the .358 brass . I been begging them for a while to do some .218 Bee but no luck so far . I use Starline for all my new handgun brass as well as 45-70 and 38-55 . Never seen any of their stuff that wasn't top notch .

When My wife got her 38 S&W We needed brass. We were lucky that they just made a run so I ordered 1000 pieces!
I doubt she will ever use these up!

1000 rds of 38 revolver brass ought to last at
least 10,000 fireings, and prob a pretty fair
amount more. Just got 100 starline 44S.

About a year ago I fired off an email to Starline about producing 218 Bee, 25-20, 30-40 Krag and 348 Winchester. I did just receive 250 Hornady 218 Bee and 50 rounds of 30-40 cases from Graf.
