Strong coffee is a myth

Have been reading about the early fur trappers. Lead, powder, salt, tobaccos and coffee. Flour was hard to come by. Most smoked clay pipes but would resort to dried willow rolled in corn husks. Coffee was pounded beans, when they could get them. Ate a lot of raw meat and stuff we wouldn't touch when hungry. And we think we have it rough when camping.

There comes a point in every man's life when getting up off the COLD ground in the morning gets harder then it's worth.

Wife or Daughter set up the coffee machine the night before. Hit the switch on the way to head, come out to a fresh hot cup O' joe. Dad is a bear in the morning until that first taste hit's the back of my throat. And I drink out of an insulated travel mug all the time. Hot coffee, even if I poured it an hour ago.

Yup, yrs ago I tried to get her to sleep in a tent. Nope, not going to do that. Well actually she did once. Boated over to the sand island at Texoma, storm came up. No hon, that's just heat lightning. One tent caved, boat was full of water in the morning. All (3) of the gals were expecting, Stopped that nonsense real fast. Being fair, she would spend 2 nites in the Coleman camper but 3rd had to be at a motel. To get the diapers and kids cleaned.

Rick's 'tent' wouldn't even make it to where i park the truck.
the ground isn't as soft as it used to be, but it doesn't bother me, heck i might just sleep in.

i can also go years without coffee, to me a good cold coffee is more an afternoon thing or a summer time drink.
i just don't care either way.
