if it helps accuracy i do, if it don't i don't.
i wait till i have the ammo loaded and do a few versus not.
all you need is some greasy fingers with a little lanolin or vasoline to see, and then try something more time appropriate [LLA 45/45/10etc] if your not gonna shoot the whole batch soon.
sometimes the amount and where a lube is can make a big difference in group size.
a pair of bolt action 30-30's i have [shaking my head at this one] they share ammo no problem even liking the same oal.
but i have to sit there and wipe the lube out of all the exposed grooves [louverign design] for one rifle.
it's the only one i have to do that for.
my 7 mauser likes a bit of [lanolin, bees wax, and crisco,, AKA black powder lube ] lube smeared on the nose of the 145gr silhouette bullet, and it seems to like it on the 168gr. version.
the 150gr. spire point mold i have doesn't care for any.
