Testing the Argentina primers

Got my sp Argentina primers in the other day. I loaded up some 38 spec to try them out.

I loaded the 38's with 3grs of titegroup and others with 3.1grs of sr7625 with both topped with the Lee 148gr wadcutter. I did not bring my chrono to see how fast they were going but both shot very well at 15yds. The titegroup load shot right at 1.75" The 7625 load shot at a much better 1.25" This was with my 6.5" Taurus 357mag Tracker gun.

I shot 100 rds total and had one round in double action not go off. But did when I fired it again in single action. You could tell it hit very lite. I know revolvers can do this in double action. But it was the first time for me.

These were all powder coated and sized to 0.358" And mixed brass. I might have shot better but there was a guy next to me that had a 7.5" AR with a 3 port muzzle break and a binary trigger. I swear every time went to shoot he would throw another mag in the gun and proceed to piss off everyone near him.

I don't think any were high. I seat all primers with my rcbs hand primer. They can only goin so far with it. These seat way easier than the Bosnian primers. These felt like any cci/win/federal. But one could have been.

Every time I hear about sharing a range with a maroon as Bugs would say, I regret my property tax bill a lot less.

Though a tighter fit than American brands, the Argentine's aren't as fat as the Russian's, and, so far, they've been 100% reliable.

I also have a private range. But I can't get free brass at my range. So I go to the public range more often. I have got 4 guns and 10K primers and 12lbs of powder since Christmas all paid from the brass I picked up at the free range. So I put up with it. Normally I just put stuff away and pick up brass when there are people shooting stuff like that but the sun was getting low in the sky.
