This will offer some cheap shooting.

I recently posted that I purchased one of the new style, Lee double cavity moulds that is intended for use in 32 cal. pistol rounds. Loading these on my Lee Classic Turret Press in 30-30 cases for my T C Contender pistol and not using a gas check speeds things up. Powder charge is thrown with an RCBS Little Dandy.

I will use my new cast bullet in my 30/30 , scoped, T/C Contender. ( Knowing me I'll also use it in 308 Win. and 30-06 with reduced loads in the 1,000 - 1,200 fps speed zone )

As soon as this rain lets us, I want to go and test them.

Ben

Here it is below, weighing 93 grs. sized .311 and lubed with Ben's Red and then rolled in BLL. A pound of B'Eye, 10 lbs. of alloy and some large pistol primers and you're good to go for a LONG TIME with this bullet in my T/C Contender 30-30.

It this bullet shoots as well as my 84 gr. wadcutters with 3.7 of Bullseye, I'll very a happy camper.

Ben ....What is the length of that barrel?
From what I can see in the picture there can't be much more than 4" beyond the chamber.
Kind a of like a 30-30 snubby.

Depending on the angle that the photo is taken, it can
often times be very mis-leading. This is a factory 10" barrel.

Thank you Ben.
That should be a very nice all around CB shooter in 30-30.
As a matter of fact it looks like it has already proved itself.

Don'know if I have said this already but I watched a young shooter use one of those in stainless, chambered in .223, shooting golf balls at 100 yds. Sadly he was hitting them.

Ben,
You just cinched it for me. I'll have one of those molds by this weekend. The wife dearly loves her 336 in 30-30, and I make up plinking rounds for using a .311 buckshot pellet over a sniff of Unique. I think that your combo will be the ticket for plinking and short range varmints around the compound.

Will do sir. Heading to the OGCA show Sunday and there is one booth that sells Lee molds. I'm certain they will have the mold.

Certain they will have the mold I said.. Pfft....
So my usual guy was out of that mold. He is a Lee dealer, so his stock is usually pretty good.
Anyway,,,, the mold is on its way on a truck. Reports to follow.
