Watch this idiot shoot a squib

Just watching it on my phone, but it looked like he had a puzzled look on his face when he fired the squib. If so, why didn't he examine it after that shot? It really looked like he noticed something wasn't right.

Now I'm confused. Shot #2 looked normal to me, but much more flash on #3. Shot #5 appeared to be a squib but #6 looked normal.

Video doesn't always catch the flash, depending upon how many frames per second, but there seemed to be a lot of variation in that first cylinder of ammo.

Shot #5 at 2:51 appears as a squib and he fires #6 without checking. Can you say "bulged barrel"? There was most definitely ignition on that 5th shot as witnessed by the smoke visible from the cylinder gap....just another narcissistic maroon proving it on video.

First off, anybody that calls his video channel "PewPew Nation" tells me I'm not interested.

I agree that #3 did not only sound hotter, but also had a larger muzzle flash.

Shot 5, the squib, had a whisp of smoke that appeared round the cylinder. So although I did not hear a primer pop, just a click, something definitely fired and exited the case. Shot 6 was also different. Not quite as hot sounding as #3, but hotter than #4. It's anybody's guess if the slug from #5 exited the barrel.

But I agree wholeheartedly with Tom. He should have stopped right there and check for a barrel obstruction before moving on. Even if he did see something exit the barrel, it was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate proper safety procedures.

A late friend of mine (who owned Merit Gun Sight) told me about taking his mom out to the range one day. She was firing his K-38 when she had a squib. Before Cliff could say anything, she pulled the trigger again and the gun went bang. So, he let it go. When he got home and was cleaning the gun, as he ran his fingers down the barrel with an oil rag he felt a bump. Sure enough, about half way down the barrel was a tiny bulge. He said it never seemed to affect accuracy.

It appears that he’s loading each round from alternate boxes? Mixing .357s with .38s?
I admit that I had it on mute, though.
Ought to be a small bump on that barrel where the #6 bullet rear ended #5…..

Must only shoot revolvers because if he shot semi auto, his cross thumbs would be bloody and he would be hopping around saying nasty things. Yes, I also cringed when he pulled the trigger after the shot failed to go off. Very not impressed.

i don't know what brand those 38's were but i'm glad i don't buy over the counter stuff,,, there was no consistency at all.
the round just before the squib blasted out a good fire-ball and sounded close to the 357's.

Agreed Tomme bottom line is he made a basic error and missed the opportunity to educate snd inform.
Also I agree "pew pew zone"... These are not toys. Never should be treated or portrayed as such.

I went back to watch again. Cannot figure out how to run it in slowmo. But what I did notice was what Rushcreek noticed, he's loading from 2 different boxes. And if you count, he only loads 4 rounds, not 6. But, there is an edit just before he shoots where he starts babbling about .380 vs .38. You can see the cut in the vid. I suspect that he realized he did not load 6 round so put the other two in and then edited that part out.

What really makes me chuckle is you never get to see his target. Isn't accuracy a key factor in how well a gun shoots?

@Snakeoil when the video is pulled up, look for the Gear "*" It will pop up as the settings. Then click playback speed. There you can adjust the speed the video plays at. I had to go back and watch the different shots multiple times. Sometimes it shows the flash and not others. So you can rewind and play it again. That last shot is WAY more power than the others.

I wonder what COLT thinks of him doing this. It was a loaner gun to review.
