Winchester Model 1885 Extractors

I'm re-keying the information that I lost on my crashed laptop... Sort of slamming it out.

The Winchester Single-Shot, Volume II, by John Campbell. page 91. ISBN: 0-917218-91-4

Added the Rim and Base diameters to the list, maybe someone needs to get an idea of dimensions for a unique chambering... Please confirm these Rim / Base diameters [plus rim thickness..] BEFORE you start machining. I have no measurements of the extractor "tip" where it extends over the top of the rim. Winchester also stamped extractors with the cartridge [instead of these #s].

NOTE: the .22 rimfire extractor extends across the bottom of the rim in a "U". Centerfire extractors are in a corner of the breech face.

Receiver #2 [Low-Wall].
Rim / Base / Ext # / Cartridge
.278 / .226 #4 22S/L/LR
.333 / .276 #5 25 Stevens R.F.
.378 / .315 #6 32 R.F. - 25/20 Single Shot & Stevens
.342 / .295 #7 22 W.C.F.
.408 / .354 #8 32 Ideal - 32 W.C.F.
.525 / .469 #9 38 W.C.F. - 44 W.C.F.

On page 94, John says you can use High Wall extractors in a Low Wall, but they will extend 1/16 below the receiver. All mounting holes have the same dimensions and placement.

Receiver #3 [High-Wall]. Note the "14-19" extractors are the same cartridges as for the Low-Wall.

Decided to add the last three. Both Eley cartridges are uncommon.
