I'm going to give the Werner system a serious trial, so I'm looking for a grip adapter for a square butt K-frame S&W. I figured I'd see if anyone here has a spare before I start haunting Gunbroker and Ebay for yet another item.

Tyler/Pachmayr/what-have-you in brass/aluminum/rubber (it gets covered by the Hogue Handall anyhow). I can replace the brass/copper piece that holds it on the frame if need be.

Thanks,
Jim

I wonder if there are any 3D CAD files available for printing a grip adapter on a 3D printer?

Found a current maker I'd never heard of, got one ordered and will report back on quality etc. Since I'm no longer looking this can be locked.

The Werner system uses a Barami hip grip with grip adapter, covered by a Hogue Handall Jr. (intended for a mid-sized auto). Basically (at least in theory) you wind up with a good-sized package for carrying without a holster. For someone like me who has a habit of tucking a 2" K frame* or SP101 in a pocket or similar, it is worth checking out. A bare K frame is close to the size of a holstered J frame.

*actually, not a lot easier to conceal than a 3" Model 13. That seems somehow unfair. . . .
