Hard learning fact at the range today. Loading the RCBS #32-98 FN bullet COAL 1.630". Yes, long for cylinder in both Colt PPS and S&W M&P. yes FILLS the cylinder in both. But (eyeball) didn't think it was longer than cylinder. In the Colt, it is not/cycles/rotates fine. In the Smith, not so much, or rather TOO much! Bullet was seated to full depth of crimp groove and Lee FCD crimped. Nose hung on the cylinder in the Smith. Pearce lists similar bullet at COAL of 1.618". guess that is the absolute max! Oh well - easy fix...
