Where? looks European or maybe USSR?
yeah, I took a little bit of liberty with the title. I figured a few might pipe it some comments like What the heck? Because when I first saw it, I thought 'what the heck', and I thought it strange being a B&W image of a parade in 1987?

The real title of the photo, which was from a Facebook group called "Historical Images"
"East Germany showing off their computers in a State parade - July 4th, 1987"

Do you suppose East Germans had access to color photography in 1987?
Because it doesn't seem like the type or place to use B&W for artistic license, LOL.

I think I see and Aladdin Lamp and a Maytag wringer washer. Who knows how many other collectables are there, now probably gone to the mists of time and a readiness to toss anything old?!

Saw that place in the hill country (LLano?) a few years ago. Great-great gampa's store where JC P worked as a kid.

We visit a place outside Show Low AZ that is similar to that store front. Numerous old 30 foot trailers with shelves on both sides filled with whatever you can think of. Then outside maybe 100 tables with metal items. Some great looking wood stoves from the past. The owner drives his personal big rig to selected antique sales and buys out what is left over. His GF started it all so the business has a long history.

I guess entertainment was scarce back then!
Probably during the depression days in a farming community. Pic is from Dad's collection. He related the story of the family visit to Ohio, had to borrow a car large enough for the trip. Broke a rear spring at the RR track out of town. Blacksmith fixed it and off they went. I never heard of the Co. that made the car. He was glad for side walks as all the town streets were dirt.

Old railroad lantern above the ladies head. Hanging to the left of two other common lanterns. The only type missing from my collection.
Think it is still there?

That old singer ( Metal Frame) is what I used for my main Reloading table base! The top is from my Mom's Fancy upstairs kitchen room table It is Oak! This was the first house I remember as a child. It was a big house! We Had a big open kitchen in the lower level but the upstairs main floor kitchen was for fancy cooking & eating. Once my brothers all got married it was just Mom Dad and me ( the baby) And the house was too big for just us! We ended up moving a lot ( renting) in the same town. Sometime in the 1960's My Mom decide she disliked that beautiful old Oak table so my Dad took it apart but kept all the wood in storage. My Mom then bought one of those fancy new formica covered mystery wood tables!
Shortly after that she got rid of her beautiful "Wood" bedroom set and got a New fangled white formica Bedroom set!
Folks do strange things when they get old!

I think I still have a treadle Singer in the barn mow. I need the belt that runs it. I think it was my mother in laws.

FWIW, I've never been able to get the hang of reloading, or casting, from a sitting position. For me, it just feels unnatural. To each their own!

Ok so thread drift is excepted on this Forum, I’ll continue the drift from “old pictures”. Singer repurposed.

Had a very abused treadle that the side drawers got used in Karyn’s sewing room, nice sturdy bases for sure so I used it for a little table. Not sure why I made it with a glass top. Lost in the memory closet. The beautifully painted machine head is on a shelf in our upstairs family room.

Still have one in decent shape, gave a third to daughter in law.

I looked all over my photo files for a good photo of my repurposed treadle sewing machine frame ...into a Laundry basket table next to clothes line. All I could find was this partial photo of it, half buried in my Poppy patch.
