Drywall tip;first off use top of the line tools but..... with a clean say 10" taping knife,hold it up and sight down the blade.Take a sharpie and mark an X or something on the concave side..... they're sposed to have a touch of bow to them.90% of the time you should be looking at the "X"...... this results in finer/softer edges because they arent leaving lines and tracks everywhere you go.
Oh,and treat yourself to a margin trowel or two for getting mud out of the bucket.Nothing screams rookie like using a good taping knife to dig into or mixing mud.
