.32 H&R Mag Brass at Starline

It is lovely brass and we have a bit of it around here. During a stop at their plant in Sedalia I was able to supplement those supplies with 500 .38 Short Colt cases, for $110.50 plus sales tax. The price was thoroughly acceptable, and that it was available highlights the service Starline provides us by making some less used brass available.

Slowly--over time--Starline is replacing my brass stocks that I have accumulated over 40+ years. It is just the best brass ever, and gives up nothing to Lapua or Norma.
Same here, Starline has replaced quite a bit of my stock. I managed to sell off my mixed brass during the shortage and replace with Starline when available.
Broke about even too. Very nice having one head stamp.
I’m currently playing around with the 45-70 and 38-55, while I have a small reserve of the usual name brands, it’s nice to have and be using fresh brass of the same stamp.

Starline is one of the very few companies which we support, which has supported US too, while others seem to have taken advantage of the situation. I started using their brass as soon as they started putting their own headstamp on it - and before, hen they were putting others' headstamps on it - and I believe i still have all of it, save for two 44 Special cases which developed a mouth split and 500 new 45 Colt cases I GAVE AWAY before I realized brass had become a precious commodity and not a semi-expendable item.

Having cut way back on the number of cartridges I use, I can focus now on stocking more of those I use. I'm watching for 30/30 right now and will likely pick up more 357 and 222. Now that I have something to put my 357 Max barrel on, I wish I'd have bought another 250 of those before they ran out only recently.

It's good brass, the price is reasonable and they are really good people. One of the few companies who still treat the customer with some respect when asked a question - you get an honest answer and they take the time to do it.

As for the 32 Mag... it sure is tempting, but I have to maintain my objective of being able to better support fewer cartridges than I did when I was shooting too many to ever have enough of everything. The 32 Mag and the 38-55 still tempt me a lot.

I’ve also managed to pickup some 32 Long and the H&R brass, and as always with Starline, good stuff.
The price of the 348 brass is stiff but how much are you really going to need. A lifetime supply for me would be a couple hundred pieces. But fortunately for me I ran across a couple hundred new in the box Winchester for cheap, so I’m set. I probably have a hundred mixed used stuff of various ages and quality which is on the reserve shelf.

Some time ago I purchased several hundred Prvi Partizan [PPU] casings in 32 S&W Long and then stumbled upon a good deal for several hundred new Starline casings in the same caliber. I didn't need the Starline brass but purchased it anyway. I squirreled most of the Starline casings away for future use if needed. It really is top notch brass.

Wiresguy - I forgot to thank you for the heads up.

I didn't "need" any, but they had 32 S&W Long, 32 H&R and 38 S&W (not special) in stock. So I spent a few pennies against future availability and laid in more stock.

You're welcome, hporter.
The last time I ordered 32 H&R brass, delivery was 6 months after I placed the order. This order, placed Saturday, was delivered yesterday.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Starline and Grafs made my work load for things like 32-20, 32 mag, 8x56R, 7.65x53, etc worlds easier.

Always a good plan.
