35 Remington CVA Scout Revisited

image.jpeg First session with this rifle after lightly throating to not have to seat bullets so deep in the case. Same 35-200 from NOE only this time powder coated. First 3 rounds went wild but then she started to shoot a group. Pulled the last shot but I am encouraged. This was one of the same loads I had shot before. Next round I'll dial in the scope and do some chrono work. No leading by the way.

I am seeing some progress here, excellent work, how much throat did you happen to add and how much did it have?

Didn't have much of a throat at all. All I did was lightly cut then checked with dummy rounds until the action would close without deeply ingraving or shoving the bullet deeper in the case. The Uni Throat Reamer from Pacific Tool is a nice setup. You can tell it could cut very aggressive but with the adjustable stop you can go light and slow.
