Sierra does not list their 170 JSP for use in the .414, due to erratic performance. Keep your mind outta the gutter. "During our testing with the 414, we experienced erratic results with the
170 grain JHC bullet."

Sierra only has data for the 210gr JSP, H110 and W296 will spank the 210gr out of an 8" tube @ 1450fps.

"The 414 Super Mag is one of our newest cartridges ... dating back to December of 1975. The 414 was one .of a series of Super Mag cartridges developed by the late Elgin Gates, specifically for the emerging sport of IHMSA silhouette shooting. All of these cartridges share the same 1.610" case length, and were intended to provide improved long-range performance for the silhouette game. Others in this family include the 7mm, 305, 357, 375, 445, 455, 505, and 610 Super Mags."

A 7mm Supermag? Do tell!
