I took the plunge into a place I never thought I would go.
I bought an NOE pistol mould . A 359-88 RF. I opened it up gave it a bath took it to 300 degrees let it x3 and immediately after a warm up poured 97 of 108 perfect or pretty close to it bullets for the 380 and maybe even squirrel wreckers for the 358 W . It tracked a little on the sprue plate but I blame the nut holding the handles .
The reason this 1 is a leap is that to this point a Lee mould has been fine for pistol duty . The fly weight bullets suited to the 380 are few so this looked good .IMG_20161016_103034523.jpg

I had good success with several alloys sent by various folks in the 358 W with the 360-228 XCB , handy as the 358 I have was cut with the original XCB reamer . I didn't get to cast it . I like the NOE 2+2 PB/GC moulds because I get plinker PB and business driven bullets too .

The last is a bullet that Dad thinks he needs for BP to shoot a deer . I see a lot of recoil and carnage but whatever the Lee 500-360 Minnie is what he wants so that's what it is . I've never cast an HP or HB but I've read that frost is essential to keep the base pins up to temp .

A couple of mine from the first run of the 359-88 .
For reference the other guys 360-228 GC .

They aren't much to look at but it beats $19-21 /100 for bullets or more for ammo. The LCP most likely won't know the difference and I think I can get Mach 2 out of a 6 inch 357.
