My buddy likes to suprize me... :p :p

With SIX "NEW" Molds today!!! Along with some Brass and bullets I knew he was sending.

Well in reality they are six used and abused molds...

Unfortunately, one Lyman, was very rusted but didnt appear pitted badly... It wore handles and would not remove from handles or open.

Yet another would open but was equally rusted... The Lyman was a 457121 and what appears to be a 58 mini ball mold missing its bottom Pin.
Then another apparent 58 cal mini WITH a different style but attached pin. (First appears to be a lyman "esque" style pin as the mold base has same shouldered bolt/screw. Mold blocks look to be RCBS/ Saeco. I am hoping descaling reveals make and model. IF RCBS I hope I can get base "pin".

The last three are single cav LEE and cleaned up with steel wool and oil. I dont have numbers but all are 458. One 340, one 405 & one 450g sing cav molds.

Both Mini Ball and the lyman are bathing in Evaporust for the night.:dblthumb::p:4:;).

Another score from a town in Virginia's, local news paper. Lee molds are castable, now the others will tell there tales tomorrow.

Nice.
I probably need to get my hands on a 58 caliber round ball mould, eventually.
My mail lady and her husband are into the reenactment thing, and as a result of that, shoot 58 calibers.
Sometime in the spring I am going to show them how to cast over a camp fire for there 58's.
If you get that 58 (if that is what it is) would be kinda cool to see you do a camp fire, ladle cast session from it. Just to see if you do anything differently. You know a kinda history of casting and back to the basics thing.
Ye, Ye, I know (utube on demand.) lol
