American Select

I occasionally load 45 Colt using Lee 200 grain tumble lube semi wadcutter bullets and I have plenty of American Select powder around. I have found recipes for
38 special and 45 acp and they are favorites. Can anyone point me to a recipe for 45 Colt using American Select?

Thanks
Francis

yes red dot works great but I don't have any
yes bulseye works great but I only have a tiny amount

Well, If you can find some Recipes for Green Dot you can start on the low side with American Select And work up
It is very similar To Green Dot in both pressure and velocity

The 1996 Alliant Powder (1st year of American Select) Reloaders' Guide, lists 5.5 grains with a 250 grain lead bullet and 5.8 grains with the 230 grain lead bullet. Under Cowboy Action Loads, it lists for the 200 RNFP a load of 4.2 grains, but no pressure data. Colt. HTH.

it falls in between red and green dot, if it didn't there'd be no use for it existing.
it's like BE-86 falling in between unique and herco.
