He posted a for sale advisement on the Cast Bullet Association website a few days ago. It caught my attention. The price is right and I would like to get a few more myself. I like that he doesn't charge before your order is ready to ship. That is a good sign.

well, that is interesting. I'll send them an email. I am curious if they do custom sizes (0.270")

I have seen their stuff for sale on eBay I’m pretty sure, seems legit. Judging by the looks at face value, seems to be a very nice, well made product. I was actually going to order one a while back, but the size I wanted was out of stock.

The eBay posting had videos of it in use, made a nice looking check.

my email was rejected.
tried again, changed wording as suggested
rejected again.
Called, got error message, can't be completed as dialed.
tried a couple more times, using the canada code...again the error messages.
I found a old ebay listing, cause they don't have any current listings.
So, I sent a private message on ebay.
we'll see if they respond tonight or tomorrow.

I got a response early this morning from my ebay PM.
Hi,I am in USA. I tried contacting from information at your page. phone wouldn't go through, and my hotmail was rejected. I am looking for a GC die to make custom size gas checks (0.270" ) Jon

Hi Jon, Thanks for tracking me down! Not sure what’s happening there. I can certainly make a .270 caliber gas check maker for you. It will be 2-3 weeks before it’s ready to list and at that time I will make a “private” listing for you and send you the link to locate it on eBay.com. It would be 73.00 USD shipping included. If this works for you let me know and I will put you on the orders list. Thanks again, Blair.

I just responded with all the details for a custom sized die (Fat 6.5mm) and tried to make sure they know I'm not talking about a standard size for 270 Win. I also sourced some cheap chinese copper (0.3mm ≈ 0.012" thick) 4.0 inches x 4.0 feet for $15 shipped from Shenzhen, GD, China.

I got a reassuring reply from BFB that they understood my request. I get the feeling they know what they are doing.
.
Now it's just a 3 week wait.
I think I'll start a new thread for this, since there is some back story that started years ago, including many custom thickness GC samples from two different GC manufacturers, besides standard sized Gators. I did find one that sort of worked, but it's a bugger to push through a sizer die and that's what I've been using. Thee problem that I suspect with these samples, is that GC manufacturers have dies for 6.5 (264) and .277 so I'm hoping a custom sized die punch from BFB will make me a nice .270 sized GC.

Keep us in the loop, curious to know your opinion of it. I think it’s going to be fine. I very well may be ordering one to make checks that fit my PC slugs where I don’t have to expand every one.

Blair from BFB contacted me via a private message here...kind of surprised she joined here just to message me. We discussed my issues trying to contact them through their website, and got that worked out, so I won't need to go through ebay for the rest of this transaction. I think that will be desirable for both of us.
