Best time of the year!

Temps are in the upper 60's, low 70's for highs, and high 30's, low 40's for the lows. Sun shining most of the time, leaves starting to turn color and drop, deer season not that far around the corner. No more sweating in 90 plus degree temps! Hard to believe you could ask for more.

Heat in the morning,A/C in the afternoon . Wadders that chaff my calf , me, Remmy and a BPS waiting on the 2 flight . If it weren't for them coming straight out of the sun rise it would be perfect.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.

I agree, harvested a nice young buck with my bow right before dark last night.

Congrats S Mac! Best feeling you can have. Harvesting a deer with a bow.
We live on the point where 2 valleys intersect. Look out the windows east or south and you look at hillsides of brilliant colored trees.

I love the fall season, even here in the desert where it isn't very colorful. It is only 45 minutes drive to the mountains and fall colors. OK the colors are on brush and bushes, as the trees are evergreens. My wife whacks me on the head every time I mention this. "Don't you know winter is coming and only 6 hours of daylight! And it's COLD!!!" Oh well, I still like it for the next two months.

I brought some oak home with me from the AR tornadoes and ice storms 3 yr ago . Talk about drying out . There wasn't much drying the first few miles but the last 2 legs home man it was dropping water weigh by the 100s . A virtue of the shift from 35% is a dry day to 35% means if it isn't raining it will be and it's miserably wet .

I scraped the windshield and had 1" of snow built up on the back door of the topper this morning. My wife says it has snowed all day but not really sticking and the 1" on the grass is gone. Missoula has a balmy 45 degrees though they expect 23 this morning. Candy butted so and so's are acting like the world is going to end.

Like the cooler weather, up to a point. You can keep the frozen white stuff. Moved four years ago, from the frozen North (Michigan) to escape the six months of depressing Winter. Don't miss it, one iota.
