Buffing Wheel

I need a buffing wheel to support my tobacco pipe hobby. My preference is direct drive without belts and pulleys. I need about 1,750 RPM. Also, I need to quickly and easily change buffing wheels as I will be using multiple compounds and wax. What do you guys recommend? TIA!

I recommend you look at making your own.
a 1/4-1/3 hp electric motor with a shaft shouldn't be too hard to find.
a little welding and a dimmer switch would have you set up pretty quick.

Don't have any recommendations, but nice to see a fellow Piper.

We have a few baldor dual arbor in diffent speeds, they are top notch. The current pricing on them is less than attractive though.

Also have smaller wheels rigged on a gsale 10$ motor.

From there we go down to the variable speed drill buffs with an arbor, that's as quick change as it gets with the keyless Chuck 12$ hf vsd. Used that to finish buff most of the gp100. Think the wheels are 3-4", got them from Sears locally. Used a bolt/washers/nut for the arbor.

Last but not least is the dremel buffs. They work great for tight spots. Mainly used that on al intake manifolds.

This one dates back to the early '50s. It has a heck of a lot of hours on it. Still runs like new. It'll likely still run like new for one of my sons.
The black jagged line is an edit that I somehow managed to do in MS Paint at some point in time without realizing it.
