Fiver,wifey and I have been using that word for 35+ years,affectionately....... serious.Shoot,with a house full of testosteroned up boys,life was never dull..... doh. So,whenever her and I would take vacations,sans youngins,we always called them "adventures" cause we'd never know quite what we were doing...... not being surrounded by kids N all,haha.

My "adventures" typically turn more toward the Indiana Jones theme .....
Dad's still leaking fluid out of the last draw down hole , not altogether a bad thing . The lighting last night left a lot to be desired but I think he may be more of a goldenrod than anemia jondice bronze . He's eating and requested Cream of Wheat ........ I'm thinking it's an iron craving because he's never been a hot cereal guy . My expectations are low , calm before the storm if you will .
I'm swimming in estrogen here I may have to go camping for a week just to let some of it normalize out .......5-1 here , thankfully the cat and dog are fixed Ms is old enough to be hot flashing .
It's been nice to have the grand son here in spite of why my daughter is here .
The oldest boy will be here this afternoon with his wife and daughter . That's 5/6 of the grands all in the same place at the same time 3 times in 3 yr . Too bad his wife had to come , she's such a happy delightful person to be around and with her oh so progressive views a stunning conversationalist too .
Oh well can't pick your inlaws .

When her ears started turning red, I got the heck out of sight. Emotions were off the chart.
She's pretty even tempered all around . Now the 11.5 yo that umm "is coming of age "(?????????) I could ........ Yeah every hour is a rollercoaster ride from lip sucking whimpers because Bambi's mom died in that movie 2 weeks ago to don't look at me I'm fat and ugly to can't I just have a hug ......

I already survived 2 girls , Aunt's to these 2 , and we only had about 6 months of the boohoos then we evened out to a couple of day of extremes . So here's to hoping .
The older girl played VS football and was let down by USN basic being too easy .
The younger one just made art her life and used the rollercoaster to drive it .

Good plan !
Every time the going gets bad with them I'm reminded of a story that a Dr friend told .
He'd had a lady of 50 or so that was really suffering the effects of that age and just miserable couldn't sleep etc . More it had been dragging on and getting worse over the last year and a half . So they tried some of the then standards and when she was on one side of the swing it was great but coming back the other was even worse .
So he says look I'm going to put you on some very low dose testosterone and see how that works for you we've been from birth control to premarine horse pills and you're still miserable . Hot flash ? Cause your sweating and it's 70° in here .
So she comes back for her 6 week follow up .
Well how's it going ?
Doc this is great , the hot flashes are more like a cross walk in the sun between buildings , the mood swings are distractable and I've lost 10# of water bloat .
That's great ! Let's just add a little to the dose and back you down to 1 a day in the evenings and see how that goes .
Doc there is just one thing .

I see a guy in the store and it's like hey I wonder , and I've avoided hotdogs , sausage etc for about 3 weeks because it seems like all I think about is sex . I even have lucid dreaming about it an my husband is exhausted . Is that a problem ?
No that's male hormones .
How do you manage it , I mean how do keep your minds on business instead of getting busy ?
We call it the teenage years .
I won't say that the doc enjoyed that opportunity to explain to a woman what men go through in the teen years with the alfa struggle , but I'm sure he did .
