Colt Police Positive

I'm thinning the herd and this is the first item I'm putting up for sale. It's in perfect mechanical shape but has some cosmetic issues. There is a chip out of the original grip on the left side at the bottom rear corner as can be seen in the photos. I will clean it up before I put it up for sale. I will look on GB and any other sites to get an idea of its value but if anyone cares to offer an opinion of what I have and what it might be worth I would welcome your comments.

Does it say Police Positive Special on the bbl? I can't tell. If so then yes the 1909 PPS. Colt distinguishes b/n Police Positive and Police Positive Special. And if it is the 38 SPC - it has to be the PPS. PPs never came in 38 SPC.

Hard to see but yes it says Police Positive .38 Special on the left side of the barrel.

If it was any other caliber besides .38 Special I might keep it, especially if it was a ,32 of some flavor. But I have several guns that chamber .38 Specials

I had one that (PPSpecial) had been cut down to a Snubby by Somebubba……. But it shot very well!
I briefly owned one in .32 New Police(.32 S&W Long) before a friend talked me out of it for double what I paid….
Dainty but nice revolvers IMO.
