enough that it is now a profession to play them.
physical sports other than don't touch me shin kicking will die off and be replaced by eye/thumb coordination in the not too distant future.

We don't have TV, I use an ad blocker on all my internet browsers, billboards aren't allowed on the roads around the closest towns to where we live and anything that comes in the mail that even vaguely resembles advertising gets tossed in the burn bin. About the only advertising I ever get is radio ads if I turn on the radio. I absolutely detest advertising.

You have to question the education systems that
turn out some of these semi educated wonders.

No, you need to question the parents and society that allow it. Parents have a huge impact on how kids receive the education they are given. Might be why some from a school succeed and others don't. Why do we let schools raise our kids, isn't that the parents job?

True statement. Which is due to the fact that a large percentage of psychology majors end up in advertising instead of counseling.

Brett, do you know how much money there is in the video game world?

No Keith, this is a degree in PLAYING VIDEO GAMES! Not designing them or writing code or doing graphics. These guys play the game and other couch potatoes watch them play the game and they call it a "sport". Totally boggles my mind.

I have questioned the system and a lot of other things. Usually, I get told I'm too stupid to understand anything...

Na. used to watch the NASCAR races but like the NFL NASCAR has really screwed up a once great sport. But the biggest reason is that I simply cannot sit through that much advertising time. I don't watch a lot of TV anymore and less all the time.

I usually catch the abbreviated re-run where they jump ahead 30 laps and show the whole race in about 2 hours.

I watched the Drone racing last year, I think I caught every race they had.
those guys put in some serious effort and are actually talented at what they do.
I'm sure video games take quite a bit of effort to manipulate and play properly, but it isn't a lot different than a pin ball machine or a pac-man game.

My son assists in making video games. He was in the group of guy's that created the movements of all parts of the game.
He has told me of incidents where people have died from over use of games. The over users are called gamers. They are addicted to games the way addicts are addicted to drugs.

As always I find myself about 99.5 percent in agreement
with Bret. It is not healthy to be 100 percent in
agreement with anybody all the time. That said,
haven't found anything that Bret has posted to be
contrary to my thinking in a long time.
