Do I need another .35 cal. Rifle?

So far I have a .357 Magnum, .35 Remington and a .358 Win. Now I am considering a .35 Whelen. I just got a Tikka .308 that I intended to have punched out to .358 but I really like this slick rifle and may keep it as a .308. I'm thinking of maybe having my 03 sporter re-bored to 35 Whelen.

Decisions, decisions? I really like these 35 calibers.

Need? What does need have to do with it? Damn it man, if you WANT one then you NEED one.
Sure sounds to me like a Whelen is in your future.

I could sure use a 358 Win. I have a 243 Win in a Savage 110. Hmmmmm

If need dictated it I'd stick with a Marlin 336, a Mossberg 500, and a Ruger 10/22. Or a Model 70 30-'06, a model 52, and a Model 12. Or a Remington 700, 552 BDL, and 870 Wingmaster. And a good 1911/K-38/Single Six for handguns. But need's got nothing to do with it.

I am good at rationalizing so how is this?
your 35 admiration is sensible, it is a dandy caliber for j and c bullets. Also your list of 35's doesn't have a true extra heavy bullet cartridge. Stuff a long bullet in a 358 and reduced case capacity results, it is a safety requirement.

Besides anything based on the 30-06 is so very American. If no-one goes hungry and the bills get paid what does need really have to do with it?

I'm on the other end of the stick....got the whelen and love it, but would love to have a .358 win. to go with it.
