Elmer Keith recordings... a voice from the past

I read and re-read his books so it was enjoyable to hear his voice today. I haven't been around here much owing to an injury, but I came across this and wanted to contribute.

Almost all of Elmer's old friends here are gone. I've shot and hunted with many of them years' past and heard a lot of stories. So these recordings leave me a little melancholy... Funny..... those that knew him never doubted his ability before his death or even after...

I think those recordings were done in Elmer's house on Lombard St. in Salmon. I say this because he mentions a mount 'out there'. Elmer had a building 'out back' that was an office and had all his mounts there. I also heard Lorraine in the background speaking up when cooking was talked about.

I live 11 miles from Elmer's old house on Lombard.....

heard his voice.
