Been trying to tune up my use of scopes...like all of us I have been waitng for some good weather..
We finally got some this weekend (remember this ?)..
Well it turned to this..
S-0-0-0- I thought "how better to use the time than to reintroduce myself to some of my old friends"... I made a decision... I decided the 1919 1903 Springfield and I could use some quality time together....I just recently put a period stock on it and wanted to make sure she shot well enough to warrant putting a Lyman Targetspot on it..(it presently has a Lyman 25 LWBR attached)....
Well she did fine...but boy I could use some more range time ..!!
I spent too many rounds trying to find the target and by the time I did I started to run out of rounds...maybe that was a good thing...as you can see by the target, my shooting definitely had a bell curve to it..
.....
It was fun at the range ..there were about 30 guys shooting IDPA...everyone was enjoying themselves..
I left the bench and wandered around a bit to say "HI....when I got back these were on the bench...
not sure what to do with them yet..I could shoot them as is or remelt and soften them...but either way they are certainly appreciated..
YES SIR...all in all a good day...long in coming ...but a good day...
BTW.. anyone know of a Lyman Super TargetSpot or equ. for sale? I would like a 20X but will consider all..Dan
