Gun YouTuber’s

I know some really knowledgeable YouTubers but as said before, there are too many who obviously fail to verify their statements before making them. There's one guy in particular who does a really good job producing his videos, but doesn't vet his sources, or verify his info. I watched the first few minutes of a few of his videos before clicking off. He was leaving out some very critical steps in his "gunsmithing" procedures, some of which totally invalidated what he was doing. He wasn't just being concise, he was being lazy. Then there are guys like Chad at School of the American Rifle, who I want to be like when/if I ever grow up.

If you have a little time, please watch this video:

These guys really set me off... I questioned them on their perception that slugs won’t go very far and they got very defensive about it. They act like a slug won’t travel even 400 yards. I was trying to find my comments that I put on YouTube but I can’t. If you read some of the newest comments though, there are others that are questioning them and they get defensive with them too. These idiots are saying stuff that could get somebody killed... That, and their idiots too, that was the last video of theirs I watched.

There were idiots teaching long before YouTube, they just had a smaller audience.

We are all responsible for what we take in and it is up to each of us to evaluate the source of our information.
This applies to all sources, particularly news.
Your first filter should always be : " CONSIDER THE SOURCE"
Your second filter should be the use of multiple sources.

I read a lot of history and I also watch some presentations on YouTube that deal with history. Sometimes the information is good, sometimes it is not. Occasionally I will hear information on YouTube that I know is wrong. When that occurs I immediately lose a little respect for that presenter. If it happens a few more times, I'm done with that person.

So, if you're a You Tube producer, thank you for your efforts. Be aware that your integrity is everything and it's easily lost. So take care to always get it right.

Yeah,, but he's wearing a paracord bracelet so he must be legit.

Miculek didn't get to be a celebrity by wowing audiences with his technical savvy. He's a simple guy, some would even say redneck, and the fact that he speaks as well as he does, without a script, and doesn't "uhh" or "umm" every other word is pretty fantastic. Sure, he stumbles over his words sometimes, throws in a random "cool" saying when he gets lost, and doesn't have a particularly large vocabulary but I've made a few videos myself and it ain't as easy as it looks to present something to a camera and not make viewers cringe. I watch and enjoy his stuff.

I like his video where he goes through HIS process of cleaning brass. Cement mixer, that's almost Red Neck right there. Love it!!

One guy I like to watch is Kotaboy32. He seems just like a regular guy on a lot of forums. He shows how good and bad he shoots and usually does not make excuses as to why his shooting sucks. He mainly focuses on the AR platform but gets into other stuff now and then. Funny when he goes off on a rant like happens on some boards over the gov't. He gets pissed off just like we all do but he puts it on the tube.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I agree Bret. Was thinking about a new snow blower lately so I’ve been watching a few videos on them. Wow! Most of these guys are just full of crap and know next to nothing about snow blowers. I think in the end, I’ll save my money and just overhaul my old Ariens 24 inch snow blower...

Can't say I blame you. There isn't all that much that can go wrong with a snowblower, most of them anyways. Biggest complaint is usually related to the frictions disc drive most use. Not a hard repair at all. Belts can be a bear to change because the machine isn't built with that in mind. Keep the ethanol away from it and they usually run forever with some PM.
