Henry: My brain is obsessed...

At large, whereabouts unknown.
Ruger has been married to the 1-20" twist in most of their magnum handguns over the years. I'm pretty sure the 357 and 44 bolt rifles are 1-20" too.

Lamar--are you referring to the Field & Stream Q & A with the RemArms LLC rep? I think the focus on resurrecting the 870 and 700 and aiming at the medium-to-high price points is a smart move. If the quality is in keeping with that stated goal, it might just work.
If the quality is there. Remington has long been the King of Shortcuts and Queen of Quality Issues.

what did Ruger use in their bolt gun and the lever gun they made before?
I'd imagine that's what they'll go with when/if they get the marlin line back going.

Oh!
I see Remington arms is attempting to make guns again.
To my knowledge, Ruger has done both 1:20 and 1:38 in their 44 Mag Rifles.

One place on the interwebs says, "The Ruger 77/44 has a 1:20 twist ... all the other Rugers 44 Mag rifles have a 1:38 twist."
THEN,
another place on the interwebs says about the 44 Carbine, "The old carbines were 1-38 and the newer deerfields are 1-20"
LASTLY,
even yet another place on the interwebs says, "I am puzzled as to why Ruger uses a 1:20 twist on the .44/77 rifle, when all the lever actions use the slower twist."

If Ruger just tells Marlin's people to do what they always did (very typical in modern company's after acquiring another), I suspect it'll be 1:38
BUT,
Since Ruger has seemingly changed to 1:20 on newer guns, then if Ruger chooses to tell Marlin's people what to do, then I suspect it'll be 1:20
Honestly, I think it's a horse a piece.

Assuming the 1-38" twist will die of natural causes, its passage will be unmourned from this ZIP Code. If I wanted a roundball twist in a levergun, I would have a custom barrel installed.

I truly do not have any idea what goes through the minds of gunmakers at times when it comes to twist rates. Most 9mm/40 S&W/10mm barrels use an insanely-fast 1-10" or 4 turns/meter twist rate to launch short, squatty-looking bullets, while Winchester and Marlin adhered to that prehistoric 1-38" pitch that dates from 1860--161 years.

Years back when we bought our first 41 Mag Dan Wesson was sell off all our 43 mag revolvers. All sorts of 41 and 45 revolvers have served well. Our one concession is the "44 Specials" in 5 shot revolvers.
In levers first bought a Marlin 41 mag CCL (20" octagon) and happily never looked back. Some years back bought the 41 Henry and may need a couple more for experiments with longer brass.
Also moved into 45 Colts. Couple of Rossi's, a 24" Winchester than a 20" AE model 94 and we are smiling along with no 43 regrets.
Winchester and Marlin probably have crates full is 1-38 twist barrels they must use up to keep up the profits.

I talked to the co-owner of the LGS yesterday. I asked the Price of a new Henry BB, because I was wondering if the prices on gunbroker (over $1k is the new normal. He said "Jon, for you, it's around $770 for most any Big Boy, if I can get the one you want."

He said he has 75 of them on order with his distributor...a couple of which are the Steel 44 Mag carbine and he said he could take my name and call me if one comes in, so that's what was done.

He also said, until last month, he hasn't been able to get any Henry rifle from his distributor. He said they are just starting to trickle in now. He had 4 new ones on the shelf, two were 410 leverguns(with side loading gate), a 22, and a 30-30. He did have a used Brass framed Big Boy in 44 mag, but no side loading gate and it has the slow twist barrel...it looked like new and the price tag was only $699. He said it's previously purchased, but never fired.

wouldn't break my heart even a little bit if all I could get was a 44 mag lever rifle, and a 429667 mold.
you know from Tom not those you need some lapping compound Lyman guy's.
even if the 4 cavity mold does pile up some bullets quickly.
