it's pretty easy.
a good powder will make you look good.
I bought 2 lbs from randy Rat over at Boolits, it was like 16-17$ delivered.
but it sure makes a nice smooth even coat.

I jumped head first into the PC world about 2 months ago. Bought Powder from Smoke over on CB, got a "donated" toaster oven from my father. He and I have on hand several different kinds of lubes in our lubesizers, mostly use Ben's Red. We also can pan lube, and not to forget Ben's Liquid Lube.
He saw no point in entering the PC world, but was curious. He's now hooked, as am I. I didn't start with a color Powder. I started with clear gloss, probably not the best thing to start with. ( Newbies I recommend a color powder.) However I followed the Miles of directions and tips I had read over 9 months of lurking.
I used black ASBB'S, #5 container, 1 tsp of the powder. Shook vigorously, sifted the powder and BBs through an modified straining device. Placed the boolits on my non stick foil. Pre- heated my toaster oven to 400* f ,baked the boolits for 19 mins .
Results: Absolutely amazing to me . Dad just kinda shook his head and laughed. "Well boy ,now you've gone and done it". He is currently casting and PCing. 224 boolits. 45 and 55 gr. For our various .22 caliber needs.
My first boolits Pc'd were Lee 358 158 GC, and Lee 452 230 TC. The came out perfect and always pass the smash test.
The only issue I saw was of my own fault. Gloss clear is a B*^#h to see if it has cured properly during the smash test. Thank God for loupes. As I mentioned earlier I would recommend a color Powder for first timers. Thanks for reading this. Good shooting- CASTER
