If you think you have had hail......

We've had hail enough to damage the roof pretty severely (up to 3") and small stuff deep enough that it looked
like snow, say 2" but that is incredible.

Yup. You can tell that was a Mexican truck driver in the first video, even without subtitles.

We got a lot of snow in our area this last winter. People were crying "global warming", and all that. I pointed out to some of them that this still wasn't the Nebraska winters we had when I was a kid. We've had it pretty easy the last couple of decades. We used to get the kind of snow that shuts down the Dakotas for a week or two. I hope it comes back this winter too. They can keep the damn rain though.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I don't know what they call hail there, but that looks like frozen rain to me. All it takes is a cool stream of air to produce that. I've read the jet stream is all wacky this year due to the suns lack of activity.

Yes, extremely low sun spot activity now, it has been associated with lower temps globally in the past. We'll
see what we get. Near as I can tell, predicting beyond 36 hrs is a fool's errand.

"Everyone talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it".....yep, no handles, no knobs. :)

Whatever we get, we'll deal with it.
