Imr 4227 powder?

Yes same here. 170gr+ in .357 and 240gr+ in .44 worked well. Lighter non mag level loads not so good.

I have used a bit of both H- and IMR 4227 over the years. In 45 Colt, it wasn't great in 850 FPS loads but did very well accracy-wise once past 1100 FPS. It was 'meh' in 22 Hornet and 32/20 WCF high-velocity loads. 2400 meters better and shoots more accurately. No tryouts in 243 or other neck/sholder rifle rounds.

Yesterday at the Military Bolt Match. 100 yards. 10 record round, 10 minutes.

'As issued' 03A3. PC was Smoke's clear.

That errant round at 5 o'clock was more than likely my fault and ruined an otherwise very nice target.

Yessir, IMR 4227 can and does 'get-r-done'!

Btw, that 9-round group in the 10-ring is sub 2 inches.
