Drool over this..a couple of days ago one of my scavenger friends brought this in..these are overly large 5 gallon buckets..:):):)

First I've seen in years..usually I get 10# or so at a wack..

He felt badly because he forgot about me and off loaded 1100# else where..

Guess I should have posted this AFTER lunch..see picture below

How much lead would that require to get used up ??

I have 13 pounds so 13 X 7000 = 91,000 grains of powder divided by 30 grain charge = 3033 loads? 3033 X 210 grain bullet = 636,930 grains divided by 7000 = 90.99 pounds of lead. Did I do that correctly Quicksylver? I'll check back after my nap. o_O

But which is heavier, a gr of lead or a gr of powder?

10-K [130ish] 9mm boolits cost me 180 lbs of alloy last spring.
it was under 8 lbs of powder at 3.2grs a pop.

I calculated my main alloy pile had just over 120-K 200gr boolits in it the other day.
I was having a hard time doing air space deductions because there is 2 different ingot types there and I was doing the math in my head.

I have 6 five gallon buckets of range scrap to melt down. I should easily get 150 pounds of ingots from each. Call that 900 pounds. I have another 400 in I gots now along with some lead bricks which go 100 pounds.

I figure I have close to 1500 pounds. In 200 gr bullets call it 52.5 K, need 38 pounds of powder at 5 gr per load. I'm kinda short on large pistol primers for that....

the wife's new couch is probablynot a good place to look for some Dacron batting.
Let her know I'll be over about noon. I will bring my own knife and collection baggie.

Thanks for the offer fiver, right neighborly of you

gotta read the fine print.. :D

our 'new' couch is someone else's 'old' couch, I doubt the wife would even notice some of the stuffing missing from a cushion.

I KNOW better than to take stuffing from my wife's couch. I may be dumb. It I'm not stupid!
