My cousin has a Super Red Hawk, .454 Casull.
He loves g/c bullets like this.
Lee, 313 gr. .452" dia. gas check.
These drop from the mould at .454".
Something has to " give " when this one hits ! !
I cast him a few today.

I plain-based one of those for my .45 Colts years ago and you're not kidding they hit hard!

I have this one as well. PC with a GC and sized to .451" over 21.5gr H110 is a stout load in my 3 3/4" Bisley Blackhawk.

It was likewise intense in my 4 5/8” Blackhawk.

Shot a single deer with it. No need for those loads anymore, too tough on my hands and wrists.

Ian,

This mould is a 2 cav. mould.
I plain based one cav. and left one as a g/c.
It is a lot of mould for $21

I have that bullet in a 6 cavity mold. 24 grains of H110 in 45 colt brass in my RSR Toklat are amazingly accurate. A dozen rounds at a visit to the range are enough for me though. Then I go to a medium load of lighter bullets for general fun. Harles

One of my Lee moulds is the 44 version of that bullet at 310 grains C430-310-RF. I like it enough to pick up the NOE clone after I pretty much ruined the Lee with Midsouth's mould release. My fault not Midsouth's.

These are stompers!! They wont chamber in my BH Bisley seated to crimp groove. But my Rossi gobbles them up!!

I bought it for use in my 450 Bushmaster but they also require deep seating. Not as big issue there cause taper crimping.

They shoot well for me.
