Loaded up some of the 460-405k's to try in the 45-70. This bullet probably won't shoot great but I think it looks awesome.

That's exactly what it is Ben. Goodsteel gave me some of these to try. I'll have to see how they shoot.

If I decide to order the mold the front driving band needs to be about .003 smaller. It hits the throats pretty hard when chambering.

Look here for the bullet Waco is using in his 45-70. Awesome bullet.
That sharp shoulder just isn't a great thing in my opinion.

I actually just sent him a money order for 50 of them to try. I hate throwing down $100+ for a mold without trying the bullet first.
Tom will definitely be getting another order from me soon.

I use a very similar bullet from an old Lee group buy. Shot a couple bears with it, the Bears were most unhappy. That was with a healthy load of H322, enough to move a 420 gr plainbase around 1700 fps.

Waco has a great bullet, your rifle with like it immensely. For a fun load with it try around 24 gr of 2400.

A Marlin. Sorry. I forgot. I think you'll like them. Do you have a .460" sizer die? My groups shrank quit a bit going from .459" to .460"
