Looking at Ideal 225462 SC, input please?

A 225462 SC in real nice condition has tempted me. It would be for a 12 twist 223 CZ 527 and 9 twist Handi Hornet. My original plan was to not cast for the 22 CFs. Now it looks like a possibility. Will it work in these rifles, mid range loads or better, no scorchers? One thing, can a guy move an Ideal SC like this if it doesn't work out? Is it a Loverin Design? Your advice in general on handling and shooting these itty bitty bullets would sure be welcome? Also SC is not an issue with me, at least yet!

So far, the 225462 ( solid ) and 11.0 grs. of RL - 7 is the leading front runner in the accuracy dept. in my SAKO , L 46, .222 Rem. Some say they can't get it to shoot, for me it has been one of my favorites.

I have no input on that particular bullet . I do have a completely unrelated 225-55 @62gr that shoots well in a 222 with a 12 twist just over 2600 fps . It shoots better just under 2600 fps though . The 8 twist AR didn't care for anything much over 2400 which left me with basically a 1 gr heavier load in the 223/556 over the 222 . The 222 is still faster with the bolt action and 24" bbl over the gas 16" 223 .
All of which has nil bearing except that the bullet length should be about the same and the 463 should work out in the 12 twist .

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Yes, I think it is a Loverin design. Does well in my 223 Rem Contender.

Thank you both, please keep the comments coming. If it is still available I"m buying it. Retirement sucks and wrestling with itty bitty bullets now seems like a challenge rather than an obstacle!

That Sako is a beautiful rifle Ben. You have an eye for molds that shoot and elegant rifles.

I don't have any experience with No.225462, but I can confirm that it did, indeed, spring from the mind of H. Guy Loverin in the early 1950s.

Got the mold. Haven't shot that bullet in years though..... I have a Remington Model 700 in .222 Mag. That bullet and 2400 was a 'bug hole' load in it.
