Fired a few of these through my Handi Rifle today at 50 yards. Once I settled down I was able to fire several groups like the ones below. Also used 20 grains of WC 844 with mostly the same results. I mounted a cheap Tasco scope on the rifle set at 9X to remove as much sighting error as possible. Sized the bullets .310 with LBT Blue Soft. Both groups are under an inch. Might learn to like this rifle.

This is one of my favorite bullets. I shoot it in 32/20 at coyotes (over the sheep pens) and 7.62X39 across the fields. It is very effective on animals with the blunt nose. So I bought an NOE 4 cavity in plain base, as I don't need the gas-checks speeds for what I do.

Here is my NOE 312440.
Very accurate in all of my .30 cal. rifles.
1 cavity is a plain base, the other is g/c'd.
You're right it is a HAMMER ! !

Excellent bullet in all my 30's. I got it because of Paco Kelly's recommendation. Bet it is a super 100 yd or less pig bullet.

Intriguing bullet design, and one that I have no experience with. Specific to Ric/Yak's text......in the 32/20, does it stabilize well in the 1:20" twist found in most rifle barrels in this caliber? Past musings for this one centered on 30/30 WCF and 30-06.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what caliber did you use to shoot these groups with ?

9.3, They are marginally stable in 1/20 if you can get them up to about 1100 f/s. That is not a problem in the Browning Model 53 or the Savage 23C. Slow steady push with a long barrel helps. In my "Poacher's Pet" 32 H&R Magnum, with '03 Springfield barrel, on a bolt action Remington 22 action, they are fine down to 750 f/s. They are good in Contenders, also, but not so much in revolvers, as the sights are way off. HTH, Ric

Sized a few today at .310 for my 30/30. BHN 13. Care to share a few loads without the gas check?

Well, I use 6.0 grains of Unique, WW231 and SR7625 interchangeably. Accuracy is the same at 50 yards.
