Anyone buy any IMR 4227 from Mass Ammo.com? I see it is in stock with ok price but different looking label than IMR uses. Anyone have any ideas on this? Done business with these people? Reviews don't sound too good but do take credit cards.

I haven't done business with them but after reading their reviews I would avoid them. Sound like scammers to me. I'm not that desperate for ammo or components.

Ya, I'm seeing red flags all over the place, especially what looks like putting their own label on IMR4227. Just wondered if anyone had seen this label before from normal vendors. Thanks guys.

Do a search on massammo.com reviews , there are plenty of them as well as posts on several other forums . I would avoid them just on the strength of the little bit that I just read . One mentioned ordering a 3000+ rounds of .22 LR ammo , he got it but it was shipped dumped loose in a cardboard box .

bad reviews aside, their powder jugs look like they are buying in bulk and packaging in easily sourced "standard" containers with labels they whipped up themselves on a color printer with adhesive label stock.

Back in 2015, during the 22LR crunch, I believe it was Mass ammo, where I procured a 5000 rd case of CCI Blazers (22LR). I had no problems with that transaction, except for the price

Looking a little more at the website,
THEY SELL BAGGIE BRAND AMMO,
just like at the gunshows

Ya, Jon, that was the jist of my original post. Packaging. Bulk is what I first thought of but would IMR allow them to package the powder in a different container? I doubt it. And is it IMR 4227 or something from Czech that is close to it? I called their phone # and nobody answered. I figure if they don't have time to answer phone they won't have time to send product.

From what I see/suspect, I don't think they'd be too worried about what Alliant would "let" them do. I looked them up too and everything I saw has "shady" written all over it.

It's one thing to cough up a bunch more money than you're used to for powder, but coughing up more than you're used to AND getting nothing is doubly painful.

Those labels look pretty hokey to me, regardless of whether they actually made a label or photo-shopped the pic. Who in the world would be DISCOUNTING powder right now, and a limit of FORTY? Smells worse every time I look at it. I looked earlier and again just now - the fact that it's not all gone in that time (especially at that price) is evidence enough for me to stay way away.

I haven't found any 4227 from non-scam business but I did find some 4198 and bought it. That should get me thru summer.:)

A local shop has a pretty good supply of powder. I just bought 8 lbs of 4227 about 2 months ago. They don’t have everything but they have a good selection from slow to fast.

I saw 4227 & 2400 (what I really wanted) on many sites 3 weeks ago but now all gone , so I jumped on the 8 lbs of 4198. Glad I did.
