Anyone know who made these? Around ten inches long, fit Lyman, Saeco.IMG_20200215_163409296-3936x2214.jpg

I was thinking I had some Saeco at one time, they were marked Saeco, these aren't marked. Nice handles.

They look a lot like the Lyman handles I bought a couple years back and there's no markings on them either.

These are substantially longer than any of my Lyman's, both the wood and the jaws. I like them because I can spread the blocks apart more to drop the bullets, the bullets don't hit the blocks when they fall out.

I believe those are Lyman's new, made in China, mould handles that fit all their new double and four cavity moulds. Circa 2015 and later.

I think SAECO's have a small pivot and longer jaws, but that is just looking at the pictures.

They may be like current Lyman, but I'm sure my friend acquired them prior to 2015, I met him in 2013 and he had already quit casting, advanced age.

Then they must be SAECO's. The easiest way to tell is that the new Lyman jaws are thicker than what you can use on SAECO blocks.

the wood part looks like some older Lymans I have.
but they have a silver band [I usually cut them down to the first knob] and the center pivot screw looks some different too.

i'll have to go with Saeco also.

if you got some molds from him look for the one with the release agent sprayed on it.

Bob was a believer in release agent, all his moulds were so equipped.

It doesn't help that I've known guys who bought SAECO handles for Lyman moulds because they didn't like the Lyman handles. My older SAECO handles don't match either of these newer designs, but my newer set that I bought with a SAECO mould attached is nearly a dead ringer for the ones in your pic. Oh! I see the difference, the Lyman handles are a lot wider and squarer where the blocks mount. I'm calling yours SAECO. BTW, my newer set has no marking on the pivot bolt.
