New NOE mould on the way

You don't see very many RN .40 S&W mould designs for sale .
I have several SWC .401 moulds, but I've wanted a true RN.
Hard to beat a true RN design when it comes to 100% function , ask the US Military , i.e. 1911 pistol.
Over the weekend, I ordered this one in 2 cavity , Aluminum from Al at NOE.

I want to develop a load for my Ruger .40 pistol that will function and act in a similar way to " G I Hardball " .

What's the turnaround time on moulds from NOE? I'm considering designs between him and Accurate right now.

Depends upon stock.
IN stock both have been very quick for me.

NOT in stock is completely a different story. Could be a few weeks or months depending upon what you have ordered.

IMHO, All are worth the wait.

I just ordered a mold from NOE on the 10th of Feb. I received notice Sat. that it shipped. USPS lists Wed. the 17th as delivery day.

Unique design, Ben. EVERY design for the 40 S&W and 10mm seems to be either truncated cone or round flatnose.

Those Ruger P-series autopistols are real "sleepers". My P-89X will keep right up with the SIG P-226 in terms of accuracy and reliability.

I just ordered a Saeco #315 clone, 31-175b from Accurate. All of the bands are .002” less than “nominal” to account for powder coating. This custom iteration will take up to 6 weeks to arrive here on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.

Good thing it was more of a want then need just now.

I really "want" the mold Tomme boy lent me! The MP 358-200... Love that penta!! But alas these too are unibtanium.

Check out page 2 of MP Molds site. Go to hollow point, gas check, brass, 4 cavity’s. You may get a pleasant surprise. Not sure if penta point comes with it, but maybe. Harles

My Saeco #315 is from NOE, but works very well with PC in my oversized European 308 Win barrel. I’ve run it up to 24-2500 with good results using slower powders. I’ve taken several does with it at roughly 2150-2200 FPS.

I’ve seen a few posts about the .358-200 mold that said the bullets dropped at 220 grains, some at 212. Thought it would be, maybe, the same mold, more accurately named. Harles

well miha ain't lyman, like, you know,,,, where if you can't make 311 diameter you just rename it 308xxx instead.
